Rally Poland 2018 cancelled?

Rally Poland, a World Rally Championship event, may not go ahead next year after security concerns were voiced over the behaviour of fans.

The International Automobile Federation (FIA) released a preliminary calendar for 2018 World Rally Championships, and the event in Mikołajki, in Poland's northeast, has been replaced by a tournament in Turkey.
At the end of August, an FIA World Rally Championships official said the Polish race would be taken off next year's calendar due to security risks posed by “undisciplined fans”.
Thirteen rounds of rally races have been scheduled in the calendar. Rally Turkey is back in the programme for the first time since 2010. (vb/pk)
