Football: Poland’s Lewandowski to miss Uruguay, Mexico friendlies

Polish star striker Robert Lewandowski will miss the national team’s upcoming friendly matches against Uruguay and Mexico, according to a report.

The 29-year-old is "complaining of muscle problems" and Poland manager Adam Nawałka does not want to "take risks," the Przegląd Sportowy sports daily reported on Thursday.
Last Saturday, Lewandowski briefly returned to action after a reported hamstring strain as his Bayern Munich side faced Borussia Dortmund in a German Bundesliga clash.
Lewandowski suffered the strain in Bayern’s 2-0 win over RB Leipzig a week earlier, according to media reports.
Poland will play Uruguay in Warsaw on Friday and then take on Mexico in Gdańsk on Monday.
