The Polish pair are among five goalkeepers, 15 defenders, 15 midfielders and 15 forwards picked by European football’s governing body on the basis of their performances for a European club or national team in 2017.

Lewandowski captains Poland’s national team and is a striker for Germany’s Bayern Munich, while Glik plays as a centre back for the Polish national side and France’s AS Monaco club.

Fans can vote for their dream team on UEFA's website, with the final 11-man lineup expected to be announced in early January. (gs/pk)
