Poland’s Krzysztof Zwarycz has won the silver in the Weightlifting World Championships in Anaheim in the United States in the 85 kg category.

Chile’s Arley Mendez came first, with Italy’s Antonino Pizzolato third.

Sunday’s silver medal for Zwarycz, 26, was the biggest success of his career so far.

In April this year he was third in the European championships.

His silver at Anaheim was the first medal for the five-member Polish squad at the 2017 Weightlifting World Championships in the Californian city.
