Handball: Blow for Polish women at world championships

Poland have been beaten 28:31 by Hungary at the women's handball world championships in Germany, dashing their hopes of a place in the final 16.

The match on Thursday was Poland’s fourth and penultimate game in group B.

Poland beat Sweden 33:30 in their first game of the world championships on Saturday, but on Sunday lost 25:29 to the Czech Republic.

On Tuesday, the Poles were beaten 20:35 by defending champions Norway.
