On Saturday night, the Pole was forced to rush between one corner of Margaret Court Arena to the other, as Wei-Hsieh played a forehand and backhand from the far end of the tennis court.

The Polish world No. 28 faced knee pain during the game, for which she requested medical assistance during the break.

Su-Wei, currently ranked world No. 88 has advanced to the fourth round of the Australian Open in her career.

The game marked the second clash between the two players. In 2013, the Pole won 6:3, 6:2 at the WTA tournament in Miami. (aba)
