Poland's women on day one of Pyeongchang Olympics

Poland's Luiza Złotkowska has finished 14th in the women's 3000-metre speed skating event, while Krystyna Guzik came 28th in the women's 7.5km biathlon sprint at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

Dutch women dominated the speed skating, taking all three podium spots.
Carlijn Achtereekte won the gold, Ireen Wust took silver and Antoinette de Jong won the bronze medal.
In the biathlon, the gold medal went to Germany's Laura Dahlmeier, a seven-time world champion, while Norway's Marte Olsbu won silver and Czech Veronika Vitkova took the bronze. (vb/pk)
