Zieliński, who plays for Italian Serie A side Napoli, is being closely watched by both Barcelona and another Spanish club, Atletico Madrid, a Polish news service reported on Tuesday, citing the transfermarketweb.com website.

Barcelona plans to make a few changes to its lineup this summer, and the 23-year-old Pole is one of the possible replacements for the club’s iconic midfielder Andres Iniesta, who is set to leave Camp Nou after the end of this season, according to the Polish news service, sportowefakty.wp.pl.

Meanwhile, according to transfermarketweb.com, Napoli does not want to part with its Polish playmaker, offering him a deal extension and a pay raise.

Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri has been quoted as saying at a press conference that Zieliński is “a prodigy, hands down.”

He also said, as cited by transfermarketweb.com, that the Pole, a two-footed player, has "noteworthy athletic skills, and will be able to play in any position, if he improves personality-wise.”

According to the transfermarkt.de site, Zieliński is a transfer target for top-flight English Premier League side Liverpool.

Zieliński joined Napoli in the summer of 2016.

He is set to be named in Poland's squad for this summer's World Cup in Russia.
