The 29-year-old has recently been suffering from problems including back pain and will not play in the tournament, which starts in Paris on May 27, the sport.pl news service has reported, quoting Radwańska’s husband and assistant coach Dawid Celt.

"I can say for 100 percent sure that Agnieszka will not play in Paris," Celt said, as quoted by the website.

This would be the first Grand Slam tournament missed by Radwańska since 2006, Poland’s PAP news agency reported.

Radwańska, a former world No. 2, is currently ranked No. 28 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA).
