The match will be played at the Gdańsk Arena, which was the venue of four games during the Euro 2012 championships.

Gdańsk was picked over Portugal’s Porto to host the 2020 final.

The 2015 Europa League final was held in Warsaw, where Sevilla beat Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk 3-2.

Opened in 2011, the Gdańsk Arena is home to Lechia Gdańsk, who play in Poland’s top Ekstraklasa league.

The Polish national team have played a number of international friendlies at the stadium, but the ground has yet to hold a match in UEFA club competition, the European football authority said.
