The World Health Organisation recommends “3x30x130” as the minimum level of exercise -- at least three times a week for 30 minutes with a heart rate of 130 beats per minute, according to Dr. Janusz Dobosz from the National Centre for Physical Fitness Research.

A MultiSport Index survey found that 30 percent of Poles engage in physical activity at least three times a week.

The most popular type of sport in Poland is running.

The survey found that 45 percent of Poles who exercise do so because it is good for their health, while 31 percent exercise in order to relax.

The survey was carried out at the beginning of this year, asking 1,800 Poles about their sports activities.
