Poland’s Magdalena Fręch has advanced to the second round of the French Open.

Fręch on Sunday beat Russia’s Ekaterina Alexandrova 6:3, 3:6, 6:3.

Meanwhile, Poland’s Magda Linette crashed out of the tournament in the first round after losing to Kazakhstan’s Zarinia Dijas 3:6, 1:6.
