The Poles, playing under Belgian coach Vital Heynen, won 25:19, 25:18, 25:21 in the central Polish city of Łódź, continuing their winning streak in the first stage of the competition.

Poland last Friday beat South Korea 3-0 in the southern city of Katowice, and a day later defeated Russia in Kraków, in Poland’s south, with the same score.

Poland defeated Canada 3-1 in their third Volleyball Nations League match last Sunday, and followed up with a 3-0 victory against France on Friday.

The Poles are due to take on Germany in their next game in the league on Sunday in Łódź.

The Volleyball Nations League is a new idea from the FIVB, the sport’s international governing body. The men’s international volleyball tournament is contested by 16 national teams and replaces the World Grand Prix.
