The Pole, a former world No. 2, lost in straight sets 4-6, 3-6 on Thursday.

Radwańska beat America’s Bethanie Mattek-Sands 6-4, 7-5 in the first round of the Korea Open.

The 29-year-old Polish player, who has recently been struggling with health problems and a slump in form, crashed out of the women's singles in the US Open in the first round last month.

She was eliminated from this year’s Wimbledon tennis championships in London in the second round and missed this season’s French Open tournament, her first Grand Slam absence since 2006.

Radwańska has fallen 11 notches to No. 59 in the latest ranking by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA).
