Former world heavyweight title challengers Szpilka and Wach are both eyeing a return to winning days.
The match in the southern Polish city of Gliwice on November 10 will be “a fight for all or nothing for us” and an effort to again make a mark in the sport, Szpilka said on Friday at a press conference announcing the event.
Wach (33-3, 17 KOs) lost on points to Ukrainian Vitali Klitschko in a failed title challenge in 2012, while Szpilka (21-3, 15 KOs) was in January 2016 knocked out by American Deontay Wilder.
Szpilka was in July last year stopped in the fourth round by fellow Pole Adam Kownacki in a high-profile bout in New York billed as “the Battle of Poland.”
