Kubacki’s countrymen Piotr Żyła and Kamil Stoch finished fourth and fifth.
The event was won by Slovenia’s Timi Zajc while Germany’s Markus Eisenbichler came third.
Stoch, a three-time Olympic champion and the winner of last year’s World Cup, had been in the lead after the first round but was outclassed in the final series of jumps.
Żyła was in second place after the first round.
Kubacki claimed a maiden World Cup victory in Predazzo, Italy, earlier this month.
