Polish national basketball team into World Championships

The Polish national basketball team has made it through to the World Championships finals for the first time in 52 years.

On Friday evening the Poles beat Croatia 77:69 in their penultimate group phase match.
Italy won over Hungary on Friday, which secured Poland's spot in the championship finals, to be held in China in August and September.
On Monday the Poles, coached by American Mike Taylor, will face the Netherlands in Poland’s northern Tri-City area.
