What's Up 27.10.2013 MOD wants more women in service.mp3
Poland's ambition is to increase the number of female personnel to 5 percent of its military force within the next 3 years.
Presented by Slawek Szefs with Agnieszka Bielawska
At present there are some 2,700 women in active service, accounting for less than 3 percent of Poland's armed forces total. The Polish army has the greatest dominance of male soldiers among all NATO member countries. This must be changed, declares MOD head Tomasz Siemoniak.
We shall also examine why close to 8 thousand Poles have applied for British citizenship over the past five years.
