Q&A :: Hate-mongering in the crosshairs

Discriminatory hate talk is spreading across cyberspace. Poland is no different, while home to one of the most socially homogenous societies in Europe.

In this week's Q&A, we look into the European-wide No Hate campaign now in full swing in Poland. The launch of the action coincided with a conference in Warsaw in September, where the head of the Interior and Digitisation Ministry spoke of the need to come together to stem the tide of hateful rhetoric, as hate crimes have been consistently growing in number in recent years.

"Hate crime is the next step [coming after hate speech] and we want to prevent that," says Jan Dąbkowski, coordinator of the No Hate campaign in Poland.
