"The Noble Parcel initiative is not only about help − we actually give [the families in need] a fishing rod, and not a fish. This way, we want the action to be an incentive for a positive change," says Marcelina, volunteering with the project for two years now.

Run by the Spring Association in Krakow, the project has been connecting potential donors with families in need since it was first set up in 2000. The project has since engulfed the entire country, bringing out the best in an army of 400,000 volunteers and donors, helping out members of nearly 18,000 families.

If you'd like to donate, you can do that online here.
