Ewa Kopacz, Poland's PM-designate has announced her new Cabinet, with perhaps the biggest surprises of today's conference being he appointment of former deputy prime minister Grzegorz Schetyna to the post of foreign minister.

"Grzegorz Schetyna is knowledgeable, he is a strong personality, he is competent, and he provides a guarantee that there will be no irresponsible decisions taken in diplomacy," Kopacz commented her nomination.

A large part of the Cabinet under Donald Tusk remains intact, including Defence Minister Tomasz Siemoniak, designated to become the new deputy prime minister, or "one of Kopacz's closest allies," as the new prime minister admits.
