We interview Iwona Pomian, head of the underwater archeology department at the National Maritime Museum in Gdańsk - one of the people who helped raised a WW2 plane wreck from the bottom of the Baltic.
The operation took place in the first days of October - the raising of a World War 2 American Douglas bomber, which since its downing had lain on the bottom of the Baltic sea at a depth of 15 metres about 4 kilometres off cape Rozewie on the Polish coast. The find electrified historians, as there are only twenty or so such planes preserved in the world - in Europe only one in a collection in Britain.
Elżbieta Krajewska is talks to the underwater archaeologist, who was part of the recovery operation.
