Keep the carp alive!

Animal welfare activists call for the humane treatment of carp ahead of Christmas.

As Christmas shopping is slowly reaching its crescendo just days before Yuletide, animal welfare activists appeal to Polish consumers to abandon the longstanding tradition of buying live carp and reminding them of the inhumane treatment the custom involves.

Reporter Alicja Baczyńska speaks to Jacek Bożek from the environmental organisation Gaja.
