  • Grammy a ‘turning point’ for jazzman Pawlik
It is a year since the spectacular success of pianist and composer Włodek Pawlik - the first Polish jazzman to receive a Grammy.

Pawlik tells reporter Michał Kubicki that since winning the prestigious accolade he has given over 100 concerts in Poland, Japan and the United States, not only with his trio but also performing his own piano works.

He admits that the Grammy also means higher expectations from the public. “This is a challenge for me and a very positive factor, the fact that the public expects something fresh, new and creative,” Pawlik says, adding that his new CD will be premiered in May – in Warsaw and in New York’s Carnegie Hall.
