Optimism in times of deflation

Despite this, as Sławek Szefs found out, a survey among entrepreneurs shows growing optimism with regard to the nearest future.

“One might even evaluate the situation as positive at the moment because we do not have a classical deflation spiral with dropping salaries and companies getting rid of people, which only adds to the negative process,” Marcin Mrowiec, chief economist at bank Pekao SA, told Polish Radio.

“What is observed in Poland presently is an absolutely reverse phenomenon,” the expert added.
