As John Beauchamp reports from the European Economic Congress in Katowice, trade turnover currently amounts to USD 2.2 billion annually between India and Poland, yet there is still real scope to increase bilateral business potential.

Opening the meeting, deputy prime minister and economy minister Janusz Piechociński underlined the boon of doing business in India.

“India is a country where there are infinite possibilities for Polish exporters and investors, a country which is looking for new trade partners, and which is open to doing business with Poland,” he said.

In this extended report on Polish-Indian economic ties we also hear from Dr Małgorzata Bonikowska (Center for International Relations in Warsaw), Vijay Mehta (PHD Chamber of Commerce in New Delhi), Amit Lath, (Sharda Europe) as well as JJ Singh (Indo-Polish Chamber of Commerce).
