Foreign media signal the victory of 43 year old Andrzej Duda as a possible shift to the more conservative, right stand of Poland, pointing that Duda, backed by the opposition right Law and Justice, won the elections just months ahead of the parliamentary vote in Poland, which is also expected to bring radical changes.

Poland is getting a young and more conservative president, are many of the comments, which also signal the fact that Duda was a relatively unknown figure on the political scene in Poland, until the Law and Justice designated him for the presidential race.

"Those who voted for me voted for change" Duda said, following the election results, and foreign media speculate whether the changes will touch Poland’s foreign policy.

"He will be a different partner” points Martin Sobczyk from the Wall Street Journal, "who may be posing certain conditions that his predecessors weren’t, but it does not spell radical changes in the main goals of Poland’s foreign policy."
