Grexit fears loom over Polish economy

As Greece gears up for a referendum on whether to leave the eurozone, economists and politicians abate fears that the Polish economy could suffer as a result.

On Monday the tension in the Aegean was felt in Warsaw, with losses in both the złoty currency and on the Stock Exchange in the Polish capital.

Roberto Galea went out to discover whether the Polish economy is in for a Greek tragedy.

“Right now there are no signs of a banking crisis in Europe. At least on the surface, any exposure of European banks to Greece seems to be very moderate,” said X-Trade Brokers’ chief economist Przemysław Kwiecień.
