The seasoned commentator on Polish and European affairs focused his lecture on the Ukrainian crisis, the EU and not least the looming 'Grexit'.

I think people are far too complacent about the consequences of a Greek exit from the eurozone,” he told Radio Poland correspondent Nick Hodge.

I think that speculators will start to challenge the government bonds of the next weakest member of the eurozone.

In addition to which, the rest of the world will see the European project going backwards rather than forwards.”

The Visegrad Summer School draws together outstanding graduates and researchers from V4 member states Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as from other Central European countries. It runs until 18 July at Villa Decius.
