A group of Polish archaeologists has just started out for Cyprus. The team from Kraków's Jagiellonian University is heading for the city of Paphos, a well-known tourist destination.

As Polish Radio roving correspondent Wojciech Cegielski reports from Paphos, the Polish specialists will be exploring the ancient town's market which has been enterred on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Experts describe it as one of the most promising research expeditions of Polish archaeologists, widely considered a real scientific elite not just in Greece or Egypt, but also on the island of Cyprus.
