The stage is set for the 17th Chopin Competition
Pianists from twenty countries begin first-round auditions on Saturday in the race for accolades in the 17th Chopin International Piano Competition.

Robert Kamyk, music editor of TVP Kultura, the culture-and-arts channel of Polish public television, tells Radio Poland about the worldwide interest in the event and his expectations.
“The success of the event rests on great personalities, if only to mention Zimerman, Argerich and Pollini. I keep my fingers crossed that we have fantastic names during this competition.”
