The new Polish government might not yet have settled into the respective ministries, but it has already leapt on several fast-track legislations to overturn some of the deeds of the previous government.

These include passing a bill to make changes the Constitutional Tribunal. Some voices in the opposition have called it “a creeping coup d'etat”. Another compared it to the ‘Blitzkrieg’ […] well prepared, unannounced, and a quick attack on the Constitutional Tribunal.”
Roberto Galea spoke to Matthew Day, the CEE correspondent to the Telegraph about how a British journalist views the developments.
Piotr Świtalski for the European Commission's office in Warsaw spoke about the government's willingness to cooperate with Brussels.
