Inhabited by six million people, Khorasan offers oportunities for investing in its mining, industrial, agricultural and energy projects. 38 minerals are extracted in the province which makes the country rank eighth in the world, it also produces high-quality agricultural and horticultural products including saffron, cotton, pomegranate and medical herbs.

Many European and Polish investors have their eyes on Iran which, following the nuclear deal struck in Vienna last summer, is on the brink of reintroducing itself to the world economy.

“It's important for us to meet Iranians, it's important for us to meet their culture and to learn the way they do business in Iran,” Jacek Sosnowski, the chairman of the Polish-Iranian Business Council created last autumn, told our reporter Danuta Isler.
