A musical is forthcoming about the Polish pontiff
With a huge cast of actors, singers and dancers, Poland’s first ever musical on the Polish Pope’s life is to be a mega production.

After its premiere in Kraków in February 2017, it is to tour several Polish cities. Listen to a report which includes an interview with Jacek Kawalec who appears in the title role.
He says: “For me as an actor, it is the most important thing to play a man, not a saint, not only a priest, but first of all a man who played sports, had fun with his friends, and loved the theatre. I feel a great sense of responsibility as everyone has one’s own view of John Paul II”.
