Warsaw’s Syrena Theatre is the venue this week of United Solo Europe, an festival of one-person shows which is the brainchild of Polish actor Omar Sangare, a long-time resident of New York.

It brings together artists from Poland, the United States, Spain and Germany. In an exclusive interview for Radio Poland, Omar Sangare, who serves as artistic director of the event, says that one-person theatre is a unique experience.
“You have a singular human being on stage, with his or her frustrations, dreams and all that life brings; especially today it’s so important to be international and remain multicultural in spirit – this is what we really want to promote”.
