Each year sees representatives of Jewish culture flocking to the Polish capital, many of them have their roots here, it was the city of their grandparents and parents, many of them have Polish names.

The festival director Golda Tencer assures that the programme of this year's festival is rich and many of the events are very unique “We have in store over 200 events, performative reading, theatre, cinema, special events for children – also the art of calligraphy and cooking and of course music, a lot of music, musicians from Israel, Croatia, Poland.”

The Singer's Warsaw Festival is held in many venues in the capital, though primarily between the Grzybowska and Prożna streets, a part of the city which was the hub of the prewar Jewish community in Warsaw. The event winds up on 4 September.
