As Michał Owczarek reports, the panel, held by the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), aimed to give an overview of how hate crime is being tackled in the UK.

“By and large, people who are discriminatory would discriminate against everybody who is different and they wouldn’t know the difference between a Polish person and a Lithuanian person. So actually, they may attack a Lithuanian person and accuse them of being Polish,” said Paul Giannasi, the head of the Cross-Government Hate Crime Programme.
