“Poland is a border country of the European Union and a transit country to the East. Belarus is a border country for the Eurasian Union, and a gateway to the whole West,” Morawiecki, who is also Poland’s deputy Prime Minister, said.

Belarus is Poland’s sixth largest export destination, according to recent data.

As a result of the meeting in Minsk, Poland was also welcomed to partake in privatising Belarussian business.
