He himself is trying to promote peace and reconciliation. Sebastian Marroquin, born as Juan Pablo Escobar is the son of notorious Colombian drug dealer Pablo Escobar, those days known from numerous books, as well as the “Narcos” TV series.

Pablo Escobar, the boss of the most powerful drug cartel from Medelin, Colombia, was one of the richest men in the country, at the same time living a runaway life, being chased by police and American special forces.

Escobar was eventually killed in 1993. His son, Juan Pablo has since become an architect, but has also written two books about being the son of a drug lord.

Sebastian Marroquin spoke to Polish Radio’s Wojciech Cegielski on his life, on why he has changed his name, and why he has written the book he promoted in Poland.
