EU leaders stress need for unity
EU leaders stressed the need for unity at a summit in Rome marking 60 years since the Treaty of Rome was signed, establishing the European Economic Community, a forerunner of the EU.

EU leaders met in the Italian capital to sign a new declaration.
The summit came as the EU faces a range of challenges including Brexit.
Poland's Prime Minister Beata Szydło stressed that, though the declaration does not fulfil the expectations of all member states, it is still a vital document and a major step towards the building of the unity of the bloc.
"Unity was a key word which lay at the foundation of the decision taken 60 years ago to begin a joint construction of the European project," Szydło said.
