European Economic Congress underway in Poland

The 9th European Economic Congress, billed as the most important business meeting in Central Europe, has been launched in Katowice, in southern Poland.

The three-day event will include some 700 speakers and about 12,000 hours of debate in with an estimated 8,000 people in attendance.

Debates cover issues including political changes in the European Union, Brexit, finance, innovation, technology, energy, local government and regional policy, health, transport, real estate and global economic cooperation.

The Congress is accompanied by the European Start-up Days.

Danuta Isler spoke to Radio Poland's Alexandr Papko, who is at the event.

The three-day event has been , covering 12,000 hours of debate in total with around 700 speakers, and an estimated attendance of at least 8 thousand.
