Roberto Galea caught up with Kobakhidze to discuss Georgia’s priorities to join the European Union and the NATO alliance.

“Our main plan is to strengthen the cooperation with different countries from the European Union and other countries in the Central and Eastern Europe, and this summit provided an excellent opportunity for deepening the cooperation in general,” Kobakhidze said.

“We have a very clear foreign policy priority which was reflected in the parliamentary resolution adopted by the Georgian parliament in December last year, shortly after the parliamentary elections.

“This resolution states that our main goal is to push for European integration of Georgia and euro-Atlantic integration. And in this regard, our relationship with different countries in Central and Eastern Europe is particularly important.”
