Migration, refugees and terrorism were the dominant talking points during the 43rd Group of Seven (G7) summit held between May 26 -27 in Taormina, southern Italy.

A meeting of the leaders of the world's most economically advanced countries - the US, UK, Canada, Japan, Germany, Italy and France, the summit was also attended by representatives of the EU - European Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.

Meanwhile, Poland’s Deputy Foreign Minister Konrad Szymański approved the final document of the G7 summit which reaffirmed the sovereign rights of states to control borders and establish policies according to their own national security and other interests.
