Polish-born former US presidential advisor Zbigniew Brzeziński dies
Zbigniew Brzeziński, a Polish-born former national security advisor to US President Jimmy Carter died on Friday.

He was 89 years old.
He is commonly believed to have influenced key policy decisions on Afghanistan, the Middle East and Central and Eastern Europe.

"I am deeply saddened to hear prof. Zbigniew Brzeziński has passed away. He was an eminent Polish national who went down in both nations' history," Polish President Andrzej Duda wrote in a statement on his official website.
