Gold and silver artifacts presented in Wrocław
A breathtaking exhibition at the National Museum in Wrocław is presenting gold and silver relics from the Treasury of the Wrocław cathedral.

An unknown reliquary with a fragment of a robe believed to have belonged to Christ, a monstrance studded with pea-sized diamonds, a cross as tall as a man, adorned with gems, some of them Roman antiques, and a famous 17th century silver altar not seen since World War 2.
The National Museum in Wrocław is showing hitherto unseen priceless objects from the treasury of Wrocław cathedral – a collection that has been one of the least examined.
Elżbieta Krajewska spoke to curator Jacek Witecki.
The exhibition “Treasury. Gold – and silversmithery of Wrocław Archcathedral” is open at the National Museum in Wrocław until October.
