Poland's biggest gas company, PGNiG, is investing in start-ups to help young entrepreneurs, scientists and innovators enter the energy sector.

Łukasz Kroplewski, the Vice President of the Management Board for Development at PGNiG said that "the Innvento programme is the first of its kind in Warsaw, in Poland, and probably even in this part of Europe."

Kroplewski also said that PGNiG seeks to be a leader in the European energy market and cannot do it without investing in innovative technologies.
