Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski said on Tuesday there are no longer grounds for the European Commission to address the situation in Poland, especially following a presidential veto on two legal reforms.

As Michał Owczarek reports, the country is already embroiled in a row with the EU over sweeping changes to the country’s Constitutional Tribunal and concerns about the rule of law.

“There are no grounds for the commission to comment on Poland because, as I suggested earlier, as long as the legislative process in Poland is not completed there are no grounds for comment, much less for interference in that process,” Waszczykowski said.
