Entrepreneurs want veto of energy bill.mp3
The wind energy community has called on the Polish president to veto an amendment to the renewable energy law.
As Michał Owczarek reports, the bill arguably reduces the role of renewable sources, especially wind, in Poland’s energy mix. The community says the brunt of the changes would be borne not by large companies but by small private investors.
“These businesspeople a few years ago were bold enough to invest their working capital in wind energy but actually they have other daytime jobs like accounting offices or dairy plants, and one third of them are regular farmers,” said Kamil Szydłowski from a wind energy association.
