Entitled Doing Business in Germany, the workshop was hosted by PAIH President Tomasz Pisula and German Ambassador to Poland Rolf Nikel.

The event on Tuesday covered issues related to running a business and business opportunities in Germany as well as support offered by the German government to foreign investors.

"When you use the term 'Polnische Wirtschaft' today it has positive connotations of a very active and creative workforce and very big contribution to European development," the German ambassador, Rolf Nikel, told Michal Owczarek ahead of the event.

According to Germany’s Federal Foreign Office, the principal German exports to Poland are chemical products, petroleum, machinery, electronic goods, motor vehicles and vehicle parts.

Poland’s main exports to Germany are motor vehicles, machinery, furniture, household appliances and food.

In terms of both the number of investors and the total amount invested, German companies rank first among foreign direct investors in Poland.
