Polish diplomatic offensive
The Polish president and government are planning a diplomatic offensive in 2018 in the wake of the European Commission’s decision to invoke Article 7 of the EU Treaty against Poland over the rule of law.

According to political scientist Kamil Zajączkowski of Warsaw University, the main goals of the offensive are to rebuild Poland’s relations with the EU and explain the thinking behind sweeping reforms in this country.
